What does InterTabac mean to you?

Adam Kohlhase: InterTabac is an important event for us, where the industry from all over the world meets and exchanges ideas – like a big class reunion. It is important for us to be present and to maintain and expand our network. We take away a lot of feedback and inspiration from these days of intensive exchange.

What makes a successful trade fair visit for you?

Adam Kohlhase: From the visitor’s point of view, a visit to the trade fair should offer guests added value. At the trade fair, our customers have the opportunity to make direct contact with our producers, discover new products and benefit from attractive trade fair conditions. From our perspective, a trade fair visit is successful if we can leave a lasting impression on customers and suppliers and convincingly convey our corporate values. Of course, economic success also plays a role – as business people, we analyze exactly what additional turnover the trade fair has generated.

How do you react to changing consumer habits and legal framework conditions?

Daniel Kohlhase: We continuously monitor developments on the German market and are in close contact with our suppliers. This enables us to react relatively quickly to trends and changes in consumer behavior. Our constructive feedback is valued by our suppliers and flows directly into the further development of joint solutions. In this way, we remain flexible, innovative and close to the consumer. As a rule, legal framework conditions do not change overnight. For example, we were able to tackle the issue of Track & Trace at an early stage and act with foresight. By working with experienced, professional partners, we were able to implement all processes in good time and optimize them as part of a comprehensive test phase. As a result, the changeover when the regulation came into force went smoothly and without complications.
