Chinchalero cigars back in German specialist shops

13. November 2025

Die Tabak Zeitung // The cigar brand “Chinchalero” is back on the German market. M. K. & Söhne is taking over distribution with immediate effect, bringing a brand that has been missed by many cigar lovers back to the specialist trade.

Tradition and craftsmanship from Nicaragua
As Adam and Daniel Kohlhase, managing partners at M. K. & Söhne, announce, the reintroduction is in memory of the British cigar expert John Atherton, who built up Chinchalero with passion and expertise.

Chinchalero cigars stand for handcrafted production from Nicaragua and are aimed at both beginners and price-conscious connoisseurs with the “Classic” and “Torcidos” series. The retail prices range from 2.80 euros to 4.30 euros each and underline the company’s positioning in the “value-for-money segment”, according to Rellingen. Each cigar is traditionally made by hand from carefully selected tobacco and offers an even burn and a balanced taste profile – “ideal for a relaxed moment of enjoyment in everyday life”.

Proven quality and continuation of the brand tradition
With the return of Chinchalero, M. K. & Söhne is not only focusing on proven quality, but also preserving Atherton’s life’s work and continuing the tradition of the brand in his spirit, as the company emphasizes.
